As you have noticed, if there are assessment questions on a page, a pop up will ask students to choose "Turn in Now" or "Not Finished Yet" when they click the next arrow.
"Turn In Now" will submit their responses, and they will not be able to go back and change any answers. The teacher will then be able to see if the student answered the auto-graded questions (multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank) correctly, or if the manual-graded questions (freeform and canvas) are completed. Also, students will be able to see if they got auto-graded questions correct by then clicking the back arrow!
"Not Finished Yet" allows the student to move on to the next page without submitting their responses. They will be able to edit answers later, but they will not be able to see if their answers were correct until they are Turned In.
