Lesson Settings under Student View affect the way students see and interact with the Lesson.
By clicking on any of the options under this section, you will "Uncheck" or Hide that feature and turn it off for all students when they work on that Lesson.
Clicking on it again will Show that feature and "Check" it.
Note that you cannot turn these features off for individual students (unless you make a differentiated copy of the lesson).
